The Louisville International Airport was the scene of a new incident involving the Note 7 this morning, and the flight Southwest 994 was prevented from taking off because of the smoke that the device began to drop. According to The Verge, which confirmed with the owner, it was a new device that was exchanged, and, theoretically, should be safe.
After the accident, the plane was evacuated and all passengers and crew members went out through the door of the main cabin. There were no injuries, according to a spokesman from Southwest Airlines to The Verge.
Brian Green, the owner of the Note 7, said he picked up the new model in a store of the AT & T on September 21. A picture of the box shows the symbol black square that indicates a replacement of the Note 7, and Green said that he had a battery icon in green.
He said that he had turned off the unit as requested by the flight crew and placed in the pocket, when he began to smoke. He dropped it on the floor of the plane and a thick smoke grey greenish came out of the device. The colleague of the Green has returned to the aircraft to retrieve some personal belongings and said that the phone had burned the carpet and burned the floor underneath.
Still according to the owner, the phone was around 80 per cent of the capacity of the battery when the incident occurred and he had only used the wireless charger since you received your device.
Now what was left of the Note 7 is in the hands of the unit of fire of Louisville for research, and Green have already replaced it with a iPhone 7.
