Three of the major airlines that operate in Brazil have started to ban the boarding of the passengers with smartphones model Galaxy Note 7, Samsung. The apparatus also cannot be checked with the luggage.
Gol, Latam and Blue took the measures because of a problem with the battery of the smartphone that makes the device overheat and, in some cases, explode.
Samsung has suffered setbacks with the Galaxy Note 7 since it launched the device on August 19th in 10 countries –Brazil was not on the list, neither was there any forecast for the beginning of the sales here.
The manufacturer of Korean were forced to issue a recall in a global scale of 2.5 million units of the Note 7 on 2 September. Still, users who had their devices exchanged continued to report explosions.
One of them was on a plane that went from Kentucky to Maryland, in the United States, when the device was in the pocket of his pants began to catch fire. The aircraft had to be evacuated.
After the incident, the United States government began to consider a federal crime the act of boarding planes in the country with a Galaxy Note 7.
