Performance of the M2 Note | Test speed official TudoCelular – Tudocelular.com

The ViStation has been responsible for the marketing of products of Meizu in brazilian soil, and the M2 Note is one of the smartphones intermediates that can be acquired in your sales portal. Even though this is already a unit relatively old and do not rely with a performance so advanced as we have in the devices top of the line, it promises to be a good option for those who want a large screen and hardware is satisfactory for most basic tasks.

Meizu finally started sales of the MX6 in Brazil with a price to rival Zenfone 3

With the M2 Note in hand, we decided to prepare our standard test speed of All Mobile phone to see how the device comes out, thus allowing that all may have a better idea regarding its practical performance. In addition, we have performed a number of tools to benchmark well-known, allowing a comparison with other models in the same price range to see her in “raw performance”.

The M2 Note account with a chipset MediaTek MT6753 eight-core 1.3 GHz, supported by GPU ARM Mali-T720 MP3 and 2 GB of RAM, which is something superior to what we have generally in devices in the range of R$ 800. With a screen of 5.5 Full HD, however, their performance graph ends up being a little prejudiced in favor of a greater definition in the content view, so you may be able to see up to what point this occurs.

Test speed

our first test consists in measuring how much time the M2 Note takes to open 12 applications. In the selected list we have apps for Camera, Gallery and Settings, while others have been downloaded, such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Chrome, Netflix, Spotify, Photoshop Mix, Pokémon Go and Asphalt 8.

The opening was performed exactly in this order, counting the time from the moment the stopwatch was started and being made a marking to the end of the first cycle, to see if the second step would be performed more quickly, since all the apps and games theoretically would be stored in RAM.

according To what was noticed in our test, in the first cycle, the M2 Note took 2 minutes and 40 seconds to run all of the applications and allow the timer to be paused, which is a long time for your set of technical specifications but ends up being justified by the delay in the opening of the games.

In the second cycle the device fared slightly better, but was unable to maintain the vast majority of applications in the background, needing to recharge them when they were again called to the screen. Due to this, the M2 Note took 2 minutes and 6 seconds to run the second step, a total of 4 minutes and 46 seconds.

AnTuTu

In the popular AnTuTu benchmark, the M2 Note was able to achieve 33.236 points, which ironically is less than was found in its predecessor, which easily surpassed the range of 40 thousand points in this test. This demonstrates that the modifications made by Meizu have not been as beneficial as well in terms of practical performance, but it is not something that should harm the users more basic.

GeekBench

Passing to the GeekBench we scored quite low in the test, single-core, but when all eight cores were active this ended up being compensated. The GPU Mali-T720 MP3, also showed slightly “overloaded” in a test of the GPU, probably due to the use of a display Full HD content playback.

3D Mark

In the performance test chart Sling Shot ES 3.1 from 3D Mark, we had a score up to a reasonable value for the resolution of the display present on the M2 Note, getting above a few models with the same GPU and screen resolution.

GFX Bench

In the tests, Manhattan and T-Rex’s GFX Bench, we had scores reasonable for the price range, which demonstrates that if well-optimized applications can take a good advantage of the feature set offered by Meizu. The Manhattan scored an average rate of 4.2 fps, while the T-Rex was with 12 fps on average.

Games

finally, we have the practical test of performance in games. Unfortunately, due to limitations of the interface Flyme OS offered by Meizu about the Android 5.1 Lollipop, it was not possible to use the GameBench to measure the rate of frames per second displayed during the running of games, being required to adopt the FPS Meter that does not generate a report after the measurement.

according To what was shown (and can be seen in the video that opens this article), had an average rate of 13 fps in Asphalt 8, 20 fps on Modern Combat 5 and 42 fps in Subway Surfers. All of these rates are quite lower than expected for the set of specifications of the M2 Note, and this is probably the most disappointing of the device.

And you, what do you think of the Meizu M2 Note? Further testing with the device will be published in the next few days, so if you are interested it is good to keep an eye on TudoCelular.com and also on our YouTube channel.

The Meizu M2 Note is available on the Submarine for $ 845. The cost-benefit is good and this is the best model in this price range. To see the other 14 offerings click here.
