It is already known who has benefited from the controversy of Note 7 and it was not the … – News up to the Minute (press release)

A study from Gartner points out the manufacturers chinese Huawei, Oppo, and BBK as the main beneficiaries of the removal of the Galaxy Note 7 to market at the beginning of September. The findings contradict the initial idea that it would be Apple (seen by many as the main Samsung’s) to gain market share with the controversy in which the top of the range has been involved.

Initially the forecasts pointed to additional sales between five and seven million units for the iPhone 7, which turned out to not be the case. In its latest study, Gartner reports that "sales of the iPhone continued to fall in the third quarter of 2016, with a decline of 6.6%", indicating a "decrease in sales of 8.5% in the us and 31% in China", its two largest markets.

As a result of the withdrawal from the market, the Galaxy Note 7, Huawei has decreased the distance to the Apple of 5.3% to 2.8%. However, as mentioned by 9to5mac, the Oppo and BBK are the true winners.

"The sales of smartphones in China grew by 12.4% and the vendors that best explored the opportunities of sales were the Oppo and BBK Communication Equipment. In the case of the Oppo, 81% of their smartphone sales come from China, while those of the BBK rely on 89% only in China" you can read in this report.
