The american version of Death Note, the position of Netflix, has just announced a new. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the star of the series Heroes, Masi Oka – who serves as the film’s producer – has revealed that it has a role in adaptation, although it does not reveal who will interpret.
"I’m lucky to be able to do things behind the scenes, creating a couple of TV programs and produce many movies. I just recently completed producing the Death Note to Netflix, which also act," said Oka.

The movie with the actors will repaginate the premise of its source material, but this time leaving a metropolis of the north-american and with a genius student, Light Turner (Nat Wolff, city Paper), who discovers a mysterious notebook whose possessor has the power to kill anyone you want just by typing the name of the victim in their pages. Light then begins to eliminate criminals, having a mysterious creature known as Kira as executioner, but soon begins to be hunted by the world’s greatest detective, L (Keith Stanfield). Willem Dafoe will lend his voice to the executioner Ryuk.
Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers) is also in the cast as Mia, Sutton, Paul Nakauchi (Alpha and Omega) as Watari and Shea Whighan (Agent Carter) as James Turner.
Jeremy Slater (the Fantastic four), wrote the last version of the script. Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest) directed the remake of Death Note, which has already been adapted in Japan.
Death Note will be released by Netflix in 2017.
