Today is the last day for many owners of a Galaxy device Note 7 to use the smartphone. Verizon and AT & T will release a software update in this Thursday to prevent the unit charge or connect to cellular networks. Users who choose to continue using will be warned that the battery of the device can fail and catch fire, according to the correspondent of CBS News, Kris Van Cleave.

One of them is Chris Thompson, who decided to use his Note 7, even after the recall in the U.S. and a ban on planes. “I’m very attached to it. It was the best smartphone I’ve ever had, ” said Thompson. He believes that, statistically, there is little chance of a problem occurring with your model.

Samsung says that more than 93% of the appliances were delivered during the recall, but there are still over 100 thousand that are still around. At CES 2017, Samsung said about the failure of the product. The president of the american division, Tim Baxter, has ensured that Samsung will keep the "intense efforts" to investigate what happened, explain what went wrong, and ensure that does not happen again. The company shall disclose the reason for the failure later this month.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Samsung say that consumers with a Note 7 should stop using the devices immediately. They can be swapped out for another phone or for a full refund.
