Nissan has revealed that it will discontinue its model Notice in Europe in favor of the new Micra, the latter displayed at the Salon of Paris that is ongoing until the 16th of this month.

The mini mini-van of the Japanese brand will no longer be produced starting next spring in the facilities of Nissan in Sunderland, England, thus ending its marketing in the Old Continent.

The reason, advanced by Guillaume Cartier, managing director and sales and marketing of Nissan Europe, to Automotive News, relates to the fact that the brand has three models in the same segment, the new Micra will so fill the place left vacant by the Note.

“I imagine the image of a casino: a bet to place my chips on various squares of the prizes will never be high. But now, what I’m betting are all chips on one square,” said Cartier.

in Addition to being one of the smallest models offered by the builder the Japanese, the Note has been losing customers: the mini mini-van that came to sell 1.1 million units per year is not going to currently in addition to the 600 thousand – in the first eight months of this year, for example, sales of the Note is not exceeded 24.800 copies.
