Samsung Galaxy S4, S3 and Note 2 get new Jay-Z album free - CNET UK

Jay-Z’s new album Magna Carta Holy Grail will be released early and is free to 1 million Samsung Galaxy S4, S3 and Note 2 owners, in a multi-million dollar promotional deal Announced last night .

If you’re packing one of the flagship smart phones, you can download a free app from 24 June that’ll unlock the long-player on 4 July – three days before anyone else gets to hear it.

Announced on U.S. TV in an ad aired During the NBA basketball finals last night, and it’s not immediately clear if the offer is global or US-only. I’ve asked Samsung for confirmation and will update when i hear back.

Even if it is available here in the UK, the S3 and S4 have sold more than 50 million phones between Them, so you’ll have to be quick to be in the first million downloaders.

Samsung is reportedly splashing out $ 5m on giving its customers something fresh to listen to, According to the Wall Street Journal . It’s apparently part of a rumored $ 20m partnership between the millionaire rapper-producer and the Korean mobile maker – if true, by far the biggest sponsorship deal in tech history.
