  • Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Samsung confirmed by official website

According to reports from Computex, Acer’s UI is virtually nonexistent, meaning you’re largely getting the stock Android experience. The replaceable battery pack is rated at 2,400 mAh and Acer claims it will last you a day of use. Onboard storage is 8GB and there’s support for microSD cards up to 32GB.

The back panel is matte plastic finish while an aluminum surround gives a bit of extra rigidity. Acer plans to bring the phone to a range of markets including the UK where it will retail for 329 euros, Which is about £ 280.

One downside is the lack of 4G connectivity, but considering this is going to be a fairly cheap and cheerful phablet rather than something pegged for the premium end que doubt we will deter many punters.

Rather than taking on Samsung’s Galaxy Note head-to-head Acer seems to be appealing to users who want a larger form-factor handset but do not want to pay a huge amount for the privilege.

That’s a strategy itself is Adopting Samsung Galaxy Mega with the 6.3, but even here with a price tag of around £ 400 it’s a bit of a stretch for some wallets. Acer’s big problem is going to be visibility in the market space – it’s not a Particularly well-known brand and Particularly not for smartphones.
