Samsung recently rolled its latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean XXDME1 official firmware for Galaxy Note GT-N7100 2 users in select countries including Indonesia, Thailand and several European countries. For some reason, if users are unable to receive Both Over-The-Air (OTA) update and manual update notifications over Samsung KIES, They can download and install The Same manually using ODIN with this guide.

Pre-Requisites

  • XXDME1 The Jelly Bean official firmware and the instructions provided in this guide are applicable to the Galaxy Note GT-N7100 2 model only. It will not work on any other device. Verify the device model number by navigating to Settings> About Phone.
  • Back up important data and settings on the phone including contacts, SMS, MMS, call log and APN settings. It is recommended que you back up data manually using one of the popular custom recovery tools such as ClockworkMod (CWM) or TWRP.

Step 1 : Download Android 4.1.2 official firmware XXDME1 Jelly Bean for Galaxy Note N7100 2 and Odin v3.07 on your computer.

Step 2 : Both Extract the downloaded zip files to the desired location on your desktop. The extracted files contain Should . Tar.md5 file, an Odin3 v3.07.exe file and some other files (optional).

Step 3 : Power off the phone and wait for the vibration (about 5 to 6 seconds) to confirm complete shutdown device. 2 Galaxy Note GT-N7100 is now running on Android 4.1.2 official firmware XXDME1 Jelly Bean. Go to Settings> About phone to VERIFY this firmware version installed.

Troubleshooting:

If your phone is stuck at boot animation or Samsung logo after Step 10, then boot the device into recovery mode (press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together) and perform Wipe data / Factory Reset as well as Wipe Cache Partition before choosing reboot system now. NOTE: Use Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select an option in recovery.
