Parental guidance of live-action Death Note is revealed – IGN Brazil

It was released on Monday (22) the indicative rating of the film adaptation of the manga Death Note. – That will be starring Nat Wolff, Paper Towns

According to the site Collider , the film producer Roy Lee said the rating would be R-rated – ie, suitable only for over 17 years. “Surely it will not be for people under 17 years,” he said.

Despite having not given many details about the film, Lee commented that the feature will be “one of the first realistic manga adaptations , although it has many elements of fantasy. ” The producer also said that the cast is already selected, but not confirmed if Margaret Qualley was it like Warner previously wanted.



Death Note tells the story of Light Yagami – Kira or to intimate the manga – a copy boy who discovers a magical notebook capable of murdering people, since the owner make the simple act of writing the name of the victims in their pages .

the film adaptation still has no official release date, but the shooting still start this year. The production already has Adam Wingard as director and Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four) as a writer, in addition to Lin Dan, Jason Hoffs, Roy Lee and Masi Oka.
