This is the Screen Daily the promotional image the live-action movie Death Note that will serve as a sequel to the two previous films. In the image we see the Ryuzaki character with a mask.

As we reported recently, Rina Kawaei (former AKB48) is the latest addition to the film playing Sakura Aoi, a young woman who has a six Death Note the movie. It is described as the most terrible user of Death Note, killing indiscriminately and the complete opposite of Light Yagami

She thus joins the actors, from left to right, Sōsuke Ikematsu as Ryuzaki, L’s successor and a famous detective, Masahiro Higashide as Tsukuru Mishima, a researcher chasing the Death Notes and Masaki Suda as Yugi Shion, a cyber terrorist who worships Kira.

With distribution by Warner Brothers and opening scheduled for autumn 2016 film is directed by Shinsuke Sato (Gantz, Library Wars). This new film for now titled “Death Note 2016″ is “forbidden” sequel of the previous two live-action Death Note films.

In the story of the new movie, the dependent information society is beset by global cyber-terrorism in 2016. New charismatic figures, who inherited the DNA of Light and L, emerged. The successors of these two geniuses will wage war for six Death Notes on Earth

A crucial element of the story is the “Rule 6 Notes”:. Up to six Death Notes can exist simultaneously in the human world. Of course, the Shinigami (death gods) themselves are limited to the number of Death Notes. Therefore, up to six Shinigami can exist in the human world. Although this rule exists in the original manga, movies, live-action series, anime and play did not use this rule so far
