Perhaps not the best idea to modify a Galaxy Note 3 - Tudocelular.com

One of the most interesting things on Android is the ability to modify the system almost completely from your device. Root to gain access, you have total freedom, and that includes ‘flashing’ a different ROM like CyanogenMod for example.

However, this practice can often mean losing your warranty, especially if this is a Samsung. This is because when you install a ROM, it starts to count that records how many times a new ROM was installed. How Samsung devices voids the warranty “Flashnetized”, that was a problem.

But until recently this problem was easily solved with an app called TriangleAway that could reset this count. Thus, the Samsung would never know that you modified your machine.

However, the developer of TriangleAway found that the Galaxy Note 3 does not work the same way and does not allow reset the count.

As part of the security system Knox, the Galaxy Note 3 uses eFuse, a technology that allows to rewrite the memory leaving a virtually permanent evidence that the device was “flashed”.

developer for the hope of many that can be warned that there is a method to circumvent this, but it would be very difficult to develop software for it. But as we know, they always find a way. [CNET]
