The presence Android “pure” devices in the Nexus line, eg, operational system is cited as one of the major differentiators of Motorola. Now, the Samsung wants to introduce a similar experience to its users and, therefore, launched the Developer Edition of its Galaxy Note 4, the latest top line the brand.

As the name implies, the phone is completely unlocked, allowing the user to change the operating system the way you want. This includes the removal of applications and settings made by the operator and even by Samsung itself, allowing more experienced users to use the product with Android without any changes.

The device is already on sale at the official store brand, but, for now, is available only in the United States. There, it costs $ 700 (about R $ 1,600) and comes locked by Verizon. Changes, of course, allow this restriction is removed and open use of the device for other companies as well as remove applications and exclusive settings.

Otherwise the settings are basically the same. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition comes with a 5.7 inch screen and a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The camera is 16 megapixels with all functions of stabilization and improvement. The body is metal and the internal settings are robust, as users are already accustomed at the top of the line Samsung. Moreover, the traditional stylus is also part of the package.

As CNET points out, however, the price difference may inadvertently turn many consumers. While “pure” experience in the Nexus series devices is standard on the Galaxy Note 4 it is sold as a differentiator and the Samsung hopes it will be enough to make consumers pay slightly less than twice the price charged for a good part of US carriers, where the phone is sold for $ 299, approximately R $ 700.

It is precisely this dynamic that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is being released in limited quantities, just as a way of measure the public reception of the news. The arrival of the company’s devices that allow free experience bonds is always positive, but the price should still sound like a bad thing for many people.

For now, there is no information about the arrival of the Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition to Brazil.
