Galaxy Note with Exynos 4 will feature the same sensor … ISOCELL – Tudocelular.com

When Samsung launched the Galaxy S5 with ISOCELL sensor, it ended up taking many people by surprise by offering rich details in images with great color balance. Samsung used sensors from other manufacturers like Sony , and for three years has been working on its new sensor.

When the company announced the Note 4, he found several sites comes with the Sony IMX240 sensor, currently used in LG and Xperia Z3 G3, and others. Being something curious that Samsung have left your own sensor side. Now, a Chinese source in possession of the models with Exynos Snapdragon found that indeed such a sensor model is found only in the version with Snapdragon 805 .

The Exynos model comes with the same sensor used in ISOCELL Galaxy S5 – S5K2P2 . However, like the version with the Sony sensor, this also has optical image stabilizer (OIS). What ensures brighter pictures in dim lighting, and video with better stability.

As can be seen in the comparison above the Note with 4 ISOCELL sensor presented a better picture quality compared to Exynos and S5 with the same sensor. Benefit of this OIS. The front sensor is also different in both models. Snapdragon found in the version with the sensor S5K8B1YX , the same used in the S5. Already in version with Exynos found the S5K6D1YX . It was unclear whether there is a difference in quality between them, since no test was performed.

With this, we are aware that the two versions of Note 4 offer differences that go beyond SoC . More news will appear showing that the Exynos may rely on other different components. But for those expecting the ISOCELL sensor in the new smartphone from Samsung, this surely is great news.
