surprise There is an update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3 to Jelly Bean 4.2.2

One very popular handset with Consumers and developers is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The Jelly Bean 4.2.2 update will come out at some point, However for now you can go ahead and install it thanks to a custom ROM.

Before going ahead and installing the you have to take into account que you have to be careful of and you need to follow the instructions carefully.

The ROM is for the AT & T Galaxy Note 2, Note 2 Verizon Galaxy; Sprint Galaxy Note 2 and the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 and the the handsets have to be rooted.

You will need to make sure que the battery level is around 70%.

You Should turn off any security on the handset and the computer.

You will need to go to Settings – Application Development and check USB debugging.

Before installing

Should you have ClockWorkMod installed and you will have to make a back up of the device.

When you have checked all of the above you Should follow the instructions below:

One: Install Samsung’s USB drivers onto your PC.

Two: Connect your device to your PC and copy your chosen ROM and Google Apps to your phone’s SD card.

Three: Turn off your Note 2 and reboot it in recovery mode by pressing and holding the volume up, volume down and power keys once it’s turned off.

Four: Make a Nandroid backup is your present ROM so you can restore it if you need to. Select Backup and Restore> Backup. You can choose restore if you need to revert.

Five: In the main menu, choose wipe data / factory reset and wipe cache partition. Then go back and select advanced> wipe Dalvik cache.

Six: Return to the main menu and choose install zip from SD card> choose zip from SD card. Choose the custom ROM zip file that you’ve copied onto your Note 2 and confirm the installation. Do this again with Google Apps.

Seven: Once installation has finished, return to main menu and choose reboot system now.

Eight: Your Note 2 will reboot, and this first run might take four or five minutes, so do not worry.

If all has gone well you will now have Jelly Bean 4.2.2 on your device and be able to enjoy all that AOKP, CyanogenMod and Android has to offer.
