smartphones with size screen around 6 inches are becoming increasingly common. Some call them the phablets , plus or Note , the latter designation by well known who is said to have created this segment with the famous Galaxy Note, with sizes between 5.3 “and 5.7″.
The Xioami did not want to be left out in this segment and, after releasing their average range in format 5.5 “with Redmi Note, decided to invest in the high range with a screen size of 5.7 “and launched the Mi Mi Note and Note Pro earlier this year.

The Xiaomi continues to impress with the quality of their products. Of several that have tested, it is true that the quality versus price on all products of this brand is clearly above average, the best that has passed through our hands.
Developed and made in China, the Xiaomi products already cover a number of areas where the pair of fantastic smartphones Mi 4 and Redmi 2, there are also products fitness and sport as the Mi Band or Yi Camera. There is still tablets , headphones, powerbanks , TVs, boxes TV routers , digital scales, taken intelligent … unthinkable for a brand so recent.
The Xiaomi Mi Note affirms once again the quality of this brand and is presented as an smartphone elegant with a touch superb finishes and taken to the maximum detail, the best the least money can buy.
After a few weeks of testing, the feedback is very positive at all levels, where this smartphone was surprisingly positive. Given the many similarities with the Xiaomi Mi 4, this will serve as a basis for comparison in some aspects of the analysis
1. – General features
The Xiaomi Mi Note tested is the base model, 16GB of internal memory, in white. It has a metal internal structure as well as the entire frieze, with high quality finishing. The back cover, although not intrinsically glass has a finish Corning Glass 3 Gorilla curved, without risk and highly resistant to breakage.
IPS screen has a 5.7 “with a resolution FullHD with 386ppp of pixel density. The SoC is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, CPU Quad-core 2.5 GHz and GPU Adreno 330, combined with a generous 3 GB of RAM. These are exactly the same characteristics as the existing Xiaomi Mi 4, but strangely the Mi Note is more powerful (details later in the analysis).
The Sony cameras have sensors, and the rear camera of 13 MP with dual-LED flash two-tone (Chroma), maximum aperture of f / 1.8 and 4K video recording. The front chamber is 4 MP. The battery has a capacity 3000mAh and is not removable. Has no microSD card slot and has no NFC. Supports two SIM cards simultaneously 4G LTE, a micro-SIM and other nano-SIM, from the same slot
As for package , the Mi box Note only has the USB cable, charger, quick guide for use in Chinese and the clip to remove the slot for SIM cards . However, if it is acquired in HonorBuy along with the smartphone are provided some accessories like a cover in leather, film to the screen, car charger, mini stylus and adapter European power to the charger.

2 – Hardware and Design
The Xiaomi Mi Note presents a seemingly fragile construction, to be quite thin, but which is of great robustness. The structure is completely metallic and extends to the side frame, bringing elegance and quality added to the smartphone . The back cover, not removable, is smooth, glossy and coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, with curved sides giving it a sublime touch. The lateral metal frieze is very thin but wide enough to accommodate the volume buttons and power, which by the way have a little slack (something which is not the Mi 4, even after several months of use).
The back is completely smooth, without even having a boss due to camera 13 MP. This means that smooth over smooth … has a severe loss of friction. As for example with the Xperia Z3 Z3 and compact, the Mi Note also has “life” when it is left on a very smooth surface. When we least expect, the smartphone is jogging alone, slowly, and about to take a nasty turn. Be warned.
Given the screen size, the total size of smartphone is greatly reduced thanks to the thin bezel around the screen. As an example, the iPhone 6 Plus with 5.5 “screen is slightly higher dimensions to Mi Note, which has 5.7″ screen. Having regard to the size it is, it’s amazing weigh only 161 g, even considering it has only 7 mm thick.
On the right side are included all physical smartphone buttons: on the volume, just after the Power. On the left side is the slot to the micro-SIM and nano-SIM cards.
Above is the entrance to the headset jack of 3.5 mm and the microphone for sound capture stereo in video recording. Below is the speaker and the micro-USB port. Unlike Mi 4, the Mi Note has not emitting infrared remote control to serve.
The screen is well balanced color reproduction at all levels, with good visibility in direct sunlight. Corning Gorilla Glass protection has 3.
The resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels (FullHD) in an IPS screen, one can say that it is still appropriate for the screen size of 5.7 “. The pixel density is 386ppp, something that fits the highest standards of clarity in the presentation of content. Considering for example the LG G3 5.5 “with 538ppp or Galaxy Note 4 5.7″ with 515ppp (both resolution 1440 x 2560 pixels), noted Mi is significantly lower on the density but this brings no visual negative impact, on the contrary, because the performance of the entire device exits benefited since the resolution is lower than the process.
> Below the screen are included tactile buttons Menu, Home and Back. At the top are the typical light and proximity sensors, the call receiver, the front camera 4 MP and the RGB LED notifications, this higher intensity that the LED on the Mi 4, who sins by being loose.
