ZTOP: understand the difference between note and convertible 2-in-1 - Terra Brazil

During the Intel Developers Forum 2013, held last week in Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, Kirk Skaugen, head of Intel’s PC presented the concept of computer 2-in-1.

According to research conducted by the company and its customers / consumers, although the term convertible is not incorrect, computer 2-in-1 best describes the main feature of this product that would function as a notebook when you need or a tablet as you want so that this change in discourse would be more a marketing strategy than a new platform itself.

However, this format pattern is not new. Well, one of the most attractive and celebrated examples of this takes is the Dell XPS 12, whose concept has origins in the Dell Inspiron Duo 2010, then a netbook with Windows 7, a system that did not adapt well to the model using this platform. In fact, until recently these devices were known as convertible notebooks.
