Death Note | Netflix will produce film with manga actors – Omelette

The Hollywood adaptation of the manga Death Note , which will take the direction of Adam Wingard , left Warner Bros. to now be a property of Netflix. Information is the The Wrap.

According to the publication, Warner released Wingard to negotiate the project a few months and several studios were interested. The agreement with Netflix was not disclosed in detail, but should follow the same line established when he was with Warner, which would be based on the first three volumes of the work.

Nat Wolff ( the Fault in Our stars , paper Towns ) was cast in the role of Light Yagami i a student who finds a notebook that causes the death of those who have the name written on it. After noting the amazing effect, it starts to exterminate criminals, under the name Kira. Soon he becomes hunted by L , the greatest detective in the world. Margaret Qualley is also in the cast

Death Note double Tsugumi Oba and Takeshi Obata , was originally published in Japan in the monthly magazine Shonen Jump between 2003 and 2006 generating after 12 bound volumes, published in Brazil by JBC publisher, as well as adaptations to other media.
