Willem Dafoe joins cast of live-action Death Note – IGN Brazil

After being confirmed as Vulko, supporting the Aquaman comic, the movie Justice League, actor Willem Dafoe joined the cast of the film with real actors of Death Note, which will be distributed by Netflix.

The live action will be based on the manga Death Note, published between 2003 and 2006 tells the story of a boy who discovers a notebook that can kill people just by writing their names on their pages.

the film adaptation of Death Note has Adam Wingard as director, Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four) as writer and Roy Lee as producer. Lee also revealed recently that the film will have the parental rating for over 17 years and “it will be one of the first realistic adaptations of manga, although it has many elements of fantasy.”
