Looking to the bookshelf I have here, with some smartphones, I decided it was time to choose the best Samsung double and show how superior is the Galaxy S6 (or not) compared to the Galaxy Note Edge. Both are better versions of each line and have many similar features, but at the same time there is something that exists in the S6 and has not in the Note Edge. Which one will be the best Samsung that your money can buy?
design
By the Galaxy S5 I would say that both smartphones are very similar, but finally the Samsung changed the design of the S6 line and now delivers an entirely different unit than we have in previous years. He has more rounded corners and Bora made of metal, glass on the back in a set that exudes beauty and elegance. The Note Edge is more boxy, more “executive face” and this is visible in the texture that mimics leather in the plastic back. Like its competitor here, the Note Edge comes with aluminum edges and great construction. The downside of so much beauty in the S6 is that he left the battery inside and locked the door, eliminating the possibility of expanding the memory. If you look more to beauty, the S6 is the winner of this point. If you’re looking for productivity and accessibility, Note Edge is your smartest choice.
Hardware
Much of the hardware is different on both sides, especially in choice of processor. Samsung put its own creation and well made in S6, which delivers a Exynos 7420 chip running eight cores, four at 1.5 GHz and four in 2.1 GHz, accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and options of 32GB 64GB, GPU Mali-T760MP8 and 128 GB of internal memory. Note Edge will have the Snapdragon 805 quad-core running at 2.7 GHz, accompanied by 3GB of RAM, options between 32GB and 64GB and GPU Adreno 420. This alphabet soup resulted with Facebook and Instagram opening while ois both devices, but the Galaxy S6 was faster time to open Twitter. Winner here is the Galaxy S6.
Camera
The two smartphones share the same resolution, with 16 megapixels for photos and the result is very similar to both sides. There are few differences and the end result is almost the same for night shots, as for pictures in good light conditions. The only noticeable difference when we look at the two pictures are in color reproduction, which was better than S6 side. Champion here is the Galaxy S6.
Conclusion
The Galaxy Note Edge was a preview of what would be the Galaxy S6 Edge, but with more boxy face and serious. Samsung finally renewed its design line and the S6 was very beautiful, but sacrificed removing the battery and the expansion of internal memory. Poir some reason we do not understand the Galaxy Note Edge is still on Android 4.4, while the S6 has been built on Android 5.0. The Note Edge comes with the S Pen and Samsung’s Apps productivity line, such as S Note that takes great advantage of the crayon. If you seek a newer smartphone and Android latest, combining beauty and good grip, the S6 is your choice. If you go to one side of productivity, can not help but recommend the Edge Note.
