Meet the cast of the live-action Death Note – IGN Brazil

After Netflix, which will distribute the US live-action Death Note, reveal that the film with real actors began filming last Thursday (30), details on the cast – which will . Natt Wolff as the protagonist – the film was released

Nat Wolff as Light Turner (Light Yagami)

Nat Wolff was the first actor to be confirmed in the cast of American live-action Death Note. Wolff has starred in films such as The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Cities, both film adaptations of John Green’s books.



Margaret Qualley as Mia Sutton (Misa Amane)

Margaret It had not yet been confirmed by Netflix, but it was reported that Warner, who will produce the live-action, would be in negotiations to hire the actress. Qualley has starred in the television series The Leftovers.



Keith Stanfield as L

Keith Stanfield as L is probably one of the biggest surprises in the film cast -metragem. The actor, known for his role in the drama Temporary 12 and who also worked in the film Snowden, based on the story Edward Snowden’s life, the CIA system former administrator.



Paul Nakauchi as Watari

actor Paul Nakauchi has a very stuffed resume, but his works are virtually all dubbing. Nakauchi participated in the animated series of dubbing as Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Avatar: The Legend of Korra, and also acted in several plays, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, Spider-Man 3, Tomb Raider, Call of Duty and, his latest work, was voicing the Hanzo hero of Overwatch.

Shea Whigham as James Turner (Soichiro Yagami)

Finally we Shea Whigham which will act as the Light’s father in the film. The actor also has great movies on your resume, such as The Wolf of Wall Street, Silver Linings Playbook, Fast and the Furious 4, The Lords of Dogtown. Whigham is also famous for roles in television series such as True Detective and Agent Carter, who was recently canceled.




The film adaptation of Death Note is counting on Adam Wingard as director, Jeremy Slater ( Fantastic Four) as writer and producer Roy Lee as. Lee also revealed recently that the film will have the parental rating for over 17 years and “it will be one of the first realistic adaptations of manga, although it has many elements of fantasy.”

So, what you think this cast of Death Note? Apparently, the film will follow the script of the original manga, launched in 2003, since the actors are completely different from the characters of the franchise and will not have or at least the same name.
