Death Note | First photos from the set show the detective L – Observatory Cinema

appeared on the network the first photos from the set of the Hollywood adaptation of the manga Death Note in charge of Netflix . The images show the actor Keith Stanfield as the detective L – see below

Death Note will have its scenes shot in the United States and Canada. “I am honored to work with this amazing cast and eager to take the story of Tsugumi and Takeshi to audiences worldwide,” said director Adam Wingard in a statement.

The film with actors will reimagine the premise of its source material, but this time standing in an American metropolis and following a brilliant student, Light Turner ( Nat Wolff Paper Towns), who discovers a mysterious notebook whose owner has the power to kill anyone who wants to just writing the victim’s name in its pages. Light then begins to eliminate criminals, and a mysterious creature known as Kira Executioner, but soon becomes hunted by the world’s greatest detective, L (Keith Stanfield).

Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers) is also cast as Mia Sutton, Paul Nakauchi (Alpha and Omega) as Watari and Shea Whighan (Agent Carter) as James Turner.

Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four) wrote the latest version of the script. Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest) directs the remake of Death Note , which has been adapted in Japan.

There is no release date for Death Note
