New Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Launched: Features Include Snapdragon … – International Business Times

Xiaomi has silently unveiled the new variant of the “Redmi Note 3″ yesterday, while the original version was launched last year. Some reports are calling this variant the “Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.” This budget-friendly handset comes bundled with impressive configurations and an inexpensive price tag.

The new variant of the Redmi Note 3 replaces the MediaTek Helio X10 chipset with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 SoC, GSM Arena Reported. This Qualcomm silicon comes with a hexa-core 64-bit processor, running at 1.8 GHz and the graphics side of things is taken care by Adreno 510 GPU. The processor combination features integrated X8 LTE, Which Provides Cat. 7 speeds and VoLTE support, According to MIUI.

The 13-megapixel rear-facing sensor on the original Note 3 Has Been Replaced with a 16-megapixel snapper with f2.0 aperture and support for phase detection autofocus. This handset carries the same 5.5-inch display and 1080p screen resolution.

The hardware components are backed by a good 2 GB of RAM configuration, specific to the 16 GB variant. The 32 GB model, on the other hand, comes with 3 GB of RAM. To top it all off, this budget-friendly device houses a whopping 4,050 mAh battery unit to keep the lights on.

As far as the pricing goes, the 16 GB Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Will Set the buyers back by 999 yuan (about $ 151). So far, the price specific to the 32 GB variant has not Been announced. Apart from China, this phone will be made available in India shortly. However, Xiaomi has not confirmed the release date outside India yet.
