Samsung brings silent back to the Galaxy Note 4 in … – Tudocelular.com

One of the novelties of the Android Lollipop was the new control notifications, which allows you to receive updates each managed by a list of priorities . It bothered many users who missed the old silent system. Google has been promising to fix that in the Android 5.1 , but for now, what was offered is a new improved permissions control that can be scheduled and programmed with the alarm.

Samsung is listening to its customers and brought the silent back in last update of the Galaxy S5. Now, the Galaxy Note 4 with Exynos, model SM-910C that is also sold in Brazil, received an update for Lollipop recently in Poland that brought back this feature.

As can be seen in the images below, you can completely mute the system by tapping the sound shortcut side panel to the notifications. Through the system menu you can also choose between Sound , Vibrate or Mute in sound mode. However, you can not have this control using the device’s volume buttons. By reducing to the end, it places the smartphone in vibrate mode. Just missed this little detail to have the old silent control we had in KitKat.

Samsung also maintained another possibility, where the user can choose to control the sound system using the new priority method Lollipop or just silence all indefinite or scheduled time according to your needs. You can choose the days of the week and also the start time and end -. Something like that was adopted by the Google Android 5.1

To disable the ‘Do Not Disturb’, simply access the shortcut that is created in the system notification screen when the feature is active. Of course, it is not as simple and straightforward as the old solution found in the KitKat, but it sure helps a lot the user to find and activate the feature without having to go through several screens of TouchWiz. And only need to access the System menu, then Sounds and Notifications and lastly the option Do Not Disturb . After the setting is made, the control can be done by shortcut in the notification screen.
