9 things that Death Note taught us – IGN Brazil

Death Note was a phenomenon that reached breaking barriers in the culture of anime. With an intriguing history, mysteries and supernatural issues, the manga released by Weekly Shonen Jump in 2003 is fondly remembered by fans – and is so successful today is going to receive a Japanese live-action and an American who can be distributed by Netflix.

in May this year, social justice story of Light Yagami, or Kira, to the most intimate, full 10 years since the publication of its latest issue, saying goodbye readers the manga after three years. Then nothing more fair than honor this franchise counting what we learned from Death Note.

“Evil” is only a point of view

Uma of the greatest lessons we can draw from Death Note is that in this life there is only good and evil. The obsession with this “social cleansing” of Raito is what makes it a cruel person – and shows that although the student feel you are doing good and being a model citizen, in fact it is being a murderer and criminal.

Shinigami like apple

Quem I never wanted a shinigami to be your best friend who cast the first stone. Ryuk can be very immoral and would like to see the circus catch fire – how to have fun seeing the horrors of cat and mouse play between L and Kira. But that’s what makes it even funnier

The best part, though, is to find that shinigami love eating apple -. And bet had a lot of people who watched the anime went to eat fruit more after seeing Ryuk taste (or eat) apples over the animated series.

love is not always mutual, pure and blah blah blah

Romance It is not the focus of Death Note, but taught us something very realistic: not all love is reciprocal. Misa is completely in love with Raito, but as this is not a happy shoujo, the protagonist does not correspond to the feelings of the girl. On the contrary, it uses and manipulates Misa mentally (and even encourage them to donate half of his life for it) to realize their own desires.

Simple tricks can turn you into a little detective

E the story of leaving a graffiti on the door to find that someone entered his room? Death Note tells us little tricks and tips to protect yourself from possible detectives. – And no, we are not talking of the anonymous tab of Google Chrome, although we feel almost lawbreakers when we use

But the idea graphite is very useful to know if someone walks invading your privacy. – in the case of mere mortals like us, oo his brother really walks taking his borrowed clothes without you knowing

“Justice” is only matter of opinion

Raito enters the world of Death Note wanting to social justice, clearing the Japan wrongdoers and criminals. We could start here a discussion of the death penalty, but it is not our intention. What we learned from Death Note is that people have different views of what is “do justice.” L. believes that justice is arrest the person and protect human beings while Kira believes the solution is to eliminate them all.

Never say your name to someone you just met

Quem I would say that speaking his name to a person could be so complicated? Of course we are only playing, but it’s always good to prevent, right? The good part is that people who have nicknames end up leaving the advantage in this story. – And who does not, it’s time to get a

To be humble is always good

During the first episodes already we see the power (to decide who lives and who dies in this case) go to the head of Raito – and this already gives a clue to L. that the protagonist does not need to be close to the person to murder -over there. There are many times when we see Kira neglecting because they find powerful enough to overcome any obstacle.

Potato bags can reveal more than appear

Podia just be a potato sack, but has a TV inside. This was the level of obsession with “justice” of Raito. Okay we’re talking about an anime – and depending on your degree of myopia, a TV of this size does not help anything – but it would be amazing get a little beauty to help those that boring class to go faster, if you understand me?

Although today we have mobile phones with a screen as big as this, so we just need to take the courage to put it into a sack of potatoes.

Heaven and hell do not exist, only the empty

Essa It is the biggest lesson we learn from Death Note – even if you are not a very religious person: heaven and hell exist to encourage us to be good people in life. But what if we discovered that in the end, none of it is real, and that we all stop in the void? The manga and anime question morality and religion, and even today is one of the best franchises ever created.

So, had any lessons you learned from Death Note and she is not on the list? Tell the session comments and take time to remember one of the best animes of past generations.
