Seu Jorge, stage name Jorge Mário da Silva, born in Belford Roxo, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro, is an actor, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist of MPB, samba and soul. Eldest of four children, the others being Charles, Victor and Roger, he had a difficult childhood, but quiet in Gogo community Ema, also in the same city. Seu Jorge began working with 10-year-old in a tire repair shop, first of several occupations, such as continuous, joiner and potato peeler in a bar. He served the Brazilian Army between 1989 and 1990 in Rio de Janeiro, the Armament Central deposit – DCArmt made course of military bugler in the 2nd Battalion of Motorized Infantry School (Procedure DALY), but did not adapt to military life, being licensed in January 1990.
