The unconventional Samsung kinda surprised the world at IFA 2014, revealing the already highly anticipated Galaxy Note 4, but also a phablet ., the Galaxy Note Edge
he’s different is the “edge”: the rounded corner of the screen, and you can use it to display icons, notifications and interactions with other applications. Moreover, it is very similar to the Galaxy Note 4, with the same hardware monstrous and the S Pen stylus.
But if you are eager to get their hands on this curved screen, it’s good to make other plans because the Note Edge is not available to everyone, with Samsung holding sales. That’s because the phablet will be a “niche device”, ie, will not be sold in large quantities. Last year the Korean did something similar with the Galaxy Round, device with curved screen.
The company expects to sell up to 1 million units this year, and yet, there should be a worldwide release. Instead, it will be released one country to another, with no time to get here in Brazil.
In South Korea, it is expected that sales are beginning in late October, and in some countries Oceania is likely that it arrives in early November.
As for the price, the Galaxy Note Edge should be pretty expensive at around $ 1,250, almost double that of a traditional top smartphone line.
If you are curious to see the device at IFA 2014, we put our hands on it. Check out the video.
